| The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the development and implementation of a well-functioning Croatian Public Internal Financial Control (PIFC) system by strengthening the external oversight of budget execution in line with good European practice.
› This will be achieved by:
• strengthening the legal framework for external audit (whenever necessary);
• the application of core external audit processes in line with international standards and good European practice;
• strengthening the organisation, management of human resources and information systems of the SAO; and
• improved information technology of the SAO.
