PARTICIPATION AT YOUNG EUROSAI CONFERENCE (YES)

The representative of the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia Luka Juras participated in the YOUNG EUROSAI (YES) Conference held in Tirana on 9 and 10 June 2026. In addition to representatives of the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution (ALSAI), the Conference was attended by 70 auditors from 31 countries. The theme of the Conference was “Future-Ready Auditors: Drivers of Change in a Sustainable and Digital World”, and it brought together young auditors and representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions. The conference was organized with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experiences, examples of good practice and information on the challenges faced by Supreme Audit Institutions.
The Conference discussed the application of artificial intelligence, digital innovations and new technologies in auditing, and the development of the knowledge and skills needed by auditors to face future challenges. The topics of audit quality, accountability and creating public value through audit activities were also discussed. Participants exchanged experiences on the digital transformation of Supreme Audit Institutions, the use of data analytics and automated tools in audit procedures, and the assessment of the public sector's readiness for the application of artificial intelligence. In addition, examples of sustainability audits, environmental protection and sustainable development goals were presented, and the importance of developing multidisciplinary audit teams and new competencies needed to face technological and societal challenges was highlighted.
