Who audits the financial statements of the State Audit Office?

Pursuant to the provision of Article 25 of the Law on the State Audit Office, the annual financial statements of the State Audit Office are subject to an audit performed by an independent external auditor in accordance with audit regulations. The external auditor is appointed by the committee of the Croatian Parliament responsible for finance and the state budget on the proposal of the Auditor General. The audit report on the performed audit of the annual financial statements of the State Audit Office is an integral part of the Report on the work of the State Audit Office.
